On 5/22/09 I flew from JFK (flight 1193) to Montego Bay, Jamaica. I checked in two suitcases at JFK with tags and when I got to Montego Bay , bay 6, only 1 suitcase was located. When I went to find out, there was a line of people from my flight also looking for lost luggage. The flight was a direct flight from NYC to Jamaica. What happened to my suitcase? Also, someone went through my husband’s luggage removing articles of clothing and toiletries. They also removed some of my grandson’s toiletries that were specially packed because of allergies! I had new clothes because I came to attend a wedding in Montego Bay. Now I have no clothes. How can I be compensated? This is frustrating and expensive. I would have taken a connecting flight. I deliberately took a direct flight in an effort to avoid this.
